However, if they do, they may be able to wear their orthodontics for less time during their teenage years!

In Phase II treatment (traditional orthodontics and braces), metal brackets are bonded to the enamel and attached by wires to move your child’s teeth into a healthier, more aligned position. Because this orthodontics treatment is fixed, plaque and bacteria are more likely to build up. It’s important for your child to practice excellent oral hygiene at home to prevent decay and gum disease while they wear their braces.
